As I arrived at the hotel this morning, I noticed some lovely Japanese tourists taking some pictures of our scaffolding. They then asked if I could take a picture of them in front of the hotel (with scaffolding) – I suppose it was traditional English scaffolding.
Such polite people, I am looking forward to welcoming our Japanese guests back to the hotel.

Dear Mark, My first visit to your blog, but I pass your venture on many visits to Lakeland. You have a gem of a site and I am sure you will suceed. Indeed, I had my first honeymoon at this hotel in 1971. Keep the faith it will be fantastic. I would love to photograph the finnished result!
